Olga Vinogradova (b. 1983) is a photographer and visual researcher.
She was born in the Altai region of Russia, where she spent her childhood.
She graduated from Novosibirsk State University and holds a PhD in Chemistry.
In 2016, she began her photographic practice.
Since relocating to Belgrade, Serbia, in 2023, her artistic practice has been shaped by questions of place, belonging, and identity.


Artist Statement
Her work explores themes of self-identity, as well as the relationship between place and the individual, examining how they reflect and influence one another.
Her interest in place and belonging is rooted in childhood experiences of growing up far from her extended family, where journeys between places became an integral part of her understanding of home. Moving to Serbia later in life deepened these questions, bringing new perspectives on identity, belonging, and the connection between an individual and their surroundings.
Through self-portraiture and observations of everyday life, she explores themes of relationships, memory, solitude, and presence. She is drawn to details, light, and atmosphere, using photography as a way to capture what often remains unnoticed — inner states, traces of emotions, and moments of self-recognition.
