Authorship
I often create self-portraits. In each image, I take on several roles at once: the photographer, the model and the author who defines the meaning of the frame. These roles merge in the process, and within that merging I find a sense of freedom and naturalness.
But there is also another role — the author who presents the work to the world, who stands beside it. An author who does not hide behind the image or the camera, who exists not only within the frame, but outside of it as well.
This series reflects on what it means to be an author working with self-portraits: to show the work without hiding, to say, “Yes, I am the author,” and to hold that position. To stand next to the work while remaining a separate person.
This series captures a moment of separation — when the author steps outside the image, even if they are the one depicted in it.
